Gladstone, MO – April 11, 2025 – VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo proudly presented Ed Jolly with the 2025 Educator of the Year award during the Celebration of Independents awards dinner on March 8, 2025. This award honors an outstanding educator who has demonstrated innovative teaching methods, a passion for student success, and a commitment to advancing the automotive technology field.
With 40 years of experience in the service industry and 18 years as an instructor at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Oklahoma, Ed Jolly has transformed the lives of countless students. His dedication goes beyond the classroom—he has mentored and empowered future technicians, many of whom have gone on to become dealer trainers, shop foremen, and business owners. Former students credit Ed with giving them the knowledge, confidence, and skills to thrive in the industry for over a decade.
The VISION Educator of the Year award is an extension of the Educator Think Tank Program, which brings together automotive technology instructors to collaborate and grow. Recognizing educators like Ed Jolly is essential to the future of the automotive industry. As technology rapidly evolves, instructors play a vital role in equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to keep pace. Honoring educators not only highlights their contributions but also inspires the next generation of instructors to continue this critical work.
