VISION Introduces Technician and Service Advisor of the Year Awards, Honoring Industry Excellence in 2026

Gladstone, MO – March 27, 2026 – VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo is proud to introduce two new awards in 2026—the Technician of the Year Award and the Service Advisor of the Year Award—recognizing outstanding professionals who exemplify excellence, leadership, and dedication within the automotive service industry.

These awards were created to spotlight the individuals who play critical roles in the success of automotive service businesses. They not only perform at a high level in their roles but also elevate their teams, support their customers, and contribute to advancing the industry as a whole.

The inaugural VISION Technician of the Year Award was presented to Brian Rush of Honest Wrenches Automotive Repair in West Des Moines, Iowa. This award recognizes a technician with a minimum of two years of experience who demonstrates exceptional technical ability, a commitment to continuous learning, and a strong sense of professionalism.

Brian is widely known throughout his region as the technician others turn to when faced with the most challenging diagnostic issues. His ability to identify root causes and solve complex problems has made him a trusted resource among his peers. Beyond his technical expertise, Brian’s humility, leadership, and willingness to mentor others have set him apart. Voted MVP by his peers three consecutive years, he leads by example and consistently raises the standard within his shop and the broader industry.

The VISION Service Advisor of the Year Award was awarded to Nikki Anderson of Westgate High-Tech Auto Care in Omaha, Nebraska. This award recognizes a service advisor with at least one year of experience who excels in communication, customer service, and teamwork while contributing to the overall success of their shop.

As Lead Service Advisor, Nikki has become a benchmark for excellence within her organization. Known for her ability to turn challenging situations into positive customer experiences, she consistently demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to building lasting relationships. Her people-first approach has helped drive growth built on trust and transparency, while also fostering a strong and positive culture within her team.
