Gladstone, MO – April 9, 2025 – VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Memorial Scholarships, awarded to three outstanding automotive service professionals dedicated to furthering their education and advancing their careers. These scholarships, made possible by generous industry supporters, honor the legacies of respected professionals who made a lasting impact on the automotive industry.

  • Jessica Gonzalez has been awarded the Tim Cummings Memorial Scholarship for her passion and determination in expanding her technical expertise and breaking barriers in the industry. As a business owner, Jessica is taking bold steps to establish a female-operated extension of her company, empowering other women in the field.
  • Conor Miller is the 2025 recipient of the Anthony Williams Memorial Scholarship, funded by Advance Professional. As a college student and apprentice technician, Conor is eager to expand his knowledge, engage with industry leaders at VISION, and advance in automotive diagnostics and electric vehicle technology.
  • William Wilson has been selected as the recipient of the Harvey Chan Memorial Scholarship for his clear vision and dedication to the automotive industry. With plans to open his own shop and a strong commitment to earning ASE certifications and business management training, William exemplifies the drive and passion that Harvey Chan valued.

VISION’s memorial scholarships ensure that financial concerns do not stand in the way of career advancement for deserving individuals. By providing recipients with access to high-quality technical and management training, these scholarships uphold the legacies of industry leaders and foster growth in the next generation of automotive professionals.

Looking ahead to 2026, VISION is honored to introduce the Maylan Newton Memorial Scholarship. Since 2011, Maylan was an integral part of VISION and MWACA, sharing his management expertise and mentoring countless professionals. His unexpected passing earlier this year was a profound loss to the industry, and this scholarship will carry on his legacy by supporting individuals committed to excellence in automotive service and leadership.
