Gladstone, Mo., September 18, 2026 –  The Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA) is proud to announce the official theme for the 2027 VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo: “No Excuses. Just Train.” VISION 2027 will take place March 4–7, 2027, at the Overland Park Convention Center and Sheraton Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas.

The 2027 theme speaks directly to one of the realities facing today’s automotive service professionals: there will always be a reason to put training off. Shops are busy. Teams are short-staffed. Time is limited. Technology continues to change. Waiting until things slow down or the timing feels perfect can mean waiting indefinitely.

“No Excuses. Just Train.” challenges automotive professionals to make continued education a priority despite those realities. The message does not dismiss the legitimate challenges shops and individuals face. Instead, it recognizes that the industry will continue moving forward. Vehicles will change, technology will advance, and customer expectations will evolve. Staying prepared requires an intentional commitment to learning.

“Every professional in this industry understands how easy it can be to say, ‘I’ll do it next year,’ because there are very real demands competing for our time and resources,” said Sheri Hamilton, MWACA Executive Director and VISION Conference Manager. “No Excuses. Just Train. is about deciding that your growth is important enough to make the investment anyway. VISION gives professionals an opportunity to step away from the everyday, sharpen their skills, learn from some of the best in the industry, and return home better prepared for what comes next.”

VISION introduced the new theme through a multi-day mystery campaign across its social media channels. Beginning September 14, familiar excuses such as “I don’t have the time,” “We’re too busy,” “Maybe next year,” and “I already know enough” appeared without VISION branding or explanation. The campaign gradually built toward “Tomorrow Your Excuses End” before officially revealing the 2027 VISION theme “No Excuses. Just Train.” on September 17.

The campaign reflects VISION’s continued commitment to helping automotive professionals turn intention into action. For more than 30 years, technicians, shop owners, service advisors, managers, educators, and other industry professionals have come to VISION to strengthen their technical and business knowledge, build meaningful industry connections, and prepare themselves and their businesses for the future.

VISION 2027 will continue that tradition with an extensive lineup of technical, management, and educator training, alongside the VISION Expo, Awards Breakfast, Comedy Night, and networking opportunities that bring automotive professionals together from across the country and beyond. The VISION 2027 training schedule is late October, with additional detailed announcements about courses, trainers, speakers, events, and registration to follow.

There will always be a reason to wait. In 2027, VISION is challenging the industry to choose growth.
