MWACA Awards Student Scholarships to Future Automotive Technicians at VISION 2025

Gladstone, MO – April 9, 2025 – The Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA) and its Technicians of Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF) proudly awarded four $1,000 scholarships to outstanding students pursuing careers in the automotive service industry. Presented during VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo 2025, these scholarships recognize the dedication, passion, and drive of the next generation of automotive professionals. In addition to the financial award, each recipient received a complimentary weekend training package at VISION 2025, providing them with valuable education and networking opportunities.

This year’s scholarship recipients include:

  • Kevin Brown – A student at Flinthills Technical College in Emporia, Kansas, Kevin developed a passion for mechanics while working on his family farm. His hands-on experience, leadership in organizations like FFA and 4-H, and commitment to the industry set him apart.
  • Marissa Reever – Studying at Fort Hays Tech North Central in Beloit, Kansas, Marissa’s love for the automotive industry began in the garage with her father and uncle. Her entrepreneurial spirit and determination to own both a farm and an automotive shop showcase her drive and dedication.
  • Nikki Pasterski – A Business Administration major with a minor in Automotive Technology at Indiana State University, Nikki combines leadership and technical skills to bring innovation to the field. Her perseverance and passion for vehicle advancements make her a standout recipient.
  • Mikayla Sisneros – A student at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, Mikayla has gained hands-on experience at a Ford dealership and aspires to open her own shop after graduation. Her hard work and commitment to learning make her a deserving recipient.

The Technicians of Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF) was established to provide financial support to students entering the automotive industry, helping to combat the growing technician shortage. As technology advances, the demand for skilled professionals continues to rise. By investing in the next generation, MWACA is ensuring the future of the industry remains strong.
