Harvesters Volunteer Opportunity
Give back to VISION’s home community! Join us for an afternoon of serving the Kansas City community to kick-off the 2023 event. We are excited to offer this hands-on service opportunity, partnering with Harvesters Community Food Network! We will be sending a group to assist in sorting and packing food donations in the Harvesters warehouse facility in Downtown Kansas City – we hope you’ll join us as VISION serves the community. (Transportation Provided)
Intro to Firearms & Gun Safety with Range Time
Sharpen your self-defense skills with this unique opportunity in partnership with CenterFire Shooting Sports instructors. This hands-on safety training class will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to handle a firearm with confidence! Our group will spend time in the classroom learning from an instructor and then apply skills on the range. This course has been tailored specifically for women by a women-led training department. This outing is limited to 20 attendees. (Transportation Provided)
Paint & Sip Workshop
Enjoy hanging out while you paint! It’s as fun for first-time painters as it is for experienced artists. There’s no rule that says you have to follow the artist’s steps. Everyone gets a canvas and follows an artist’s instructions to recreate the featured painting on their own canvas. This is not a serious art course – it’s about socializing and having fun. (Onsite Workshop)
